Itsu – Sublimate
Free Music | Downtempo, Glitch, IDM | August 23, 2012 | Posted by Basilisk

02 - Drizzle (95 BPM)
03 - Don't Dance To This (130 BPM)
04 - Top Harmonic (90 BPM)
The first thing to you should know about Itsu (Ben Jancovich) is that he doesn’t much care for genres. Terms like psychedelic, IDM, glitch, drum and bass, dubstep, and ambient are relevant, but not quite adequate to describe his style. Itsu’s lush, underwater soundscapes and ethereal melodies soothe the listener into a false sense of security before exploding into a barrage of distorted granular synthesis, rumbling sub bass and frenetic breakbeats. There is something strangely familiar about the music of Sublimate, but at the same time, it is not quite like anything you’ve heard before. Mastered by Black Samurai with artwork by Christian Jones.

Absolutely Brilliant!! Well done on a stellar release Itsu, I’m definitely keeping an eye on this artist from now on :)
Wonderful! One of the best Ektoplazm releases this year :)
Top Harmonic is tagged as track 3 in the MP3 archive.
fairyland, fairy garden:) beautifulll:)
No words, no doubts, just silence in awe.
So, I warmed up a nice steaming hot tub of mineral water, sat down, and put on my surround sound headphones.
Monsoon, was a straight up amazing track, short, sweet, and extremely serene. Very nice.
Drizzle, was a bit more darker, but not so much in a bad way, more with the tones, and mood implied. Yet it was an enlightening mood, a message about the beginning of time itself. Threw me for a loop, and I ended up liking this track.
Dont dance to this, was definitely NOT my thing. It might be good for some people, but i had to skip through the next track not even halfway through.
Top Harmonic was so-so. When the tempo increased I ended it.
So the first 2 tracks were nice, downtempo, nice and chill.
But the second two were definitely not my favorites.
Eitherway it was a nice calming bath :)
Keep the good tunes coming
