OUM is the first album release by Jaja (Jana Rockstroh), a German artist introducing her vision of timeless ambient and chill out music on Cyan Music. Focusing on cosmic and outer space realms, this concept album flows with acoustic tales and cinematic soundscapes. These open-ended voyages are mostly composed live in order to capture the magic of the moment. Follow the sounds to the edge of the universe and beyond!

Great release! Makes headaches go away. The live aspect is awesome and well worth the effort put into it. While listening to it for the first time, check out Jaja’s website. It’s quite fun.

First, i thought that this could be just another project by Jaia, but on the second view i noticed that it is a complete other act right here. And i really was suprised about the sound, its clean and beautiful. Compliments to Mrs. Jaja and to Cyan Records, really love this release !

this is a very fine mix of ambient and partly drone tunes, which i really prefer almost. my fav is “upon”, which is excellent peace of music. would like to know if a follow-up is planned by you? greetinx, the drone freak

I expected to like this, with all the praise… but I agree with the guy who said it was pretty dull. Nothing but preset synth pads and strings, meandering and meandering… Go listen to some Robert Rich people, that’s real sound design.

Cosmos is the first collaborative work between prolific ambient wizard Ran Kirlian and german based electronic alchemist Jaja (Jana Rockstroh). When Ran Kirlian and Jaja met first time in 2012 they recognized the same deep bond about space and music. They immediately thought of doing a collaborative work to share their visions and to bring out the best of their both worlds. What followed was a fulminant adventure and a truly colorful journey into deep space territories, a powerful flow of pure space-ambient music based on improvisations on synthesizers. Now, the result is the first album on a series of electronic space-ambient dedicated to the magnificence of the Universe and the figure of one of its biggest explorers: Carl Sagan. Cosmos is pure space-ambient flow with four timeless ambient journeys into outer space full of stars.

Jaja is one of the very few artists that provides a zero beat structured music that will calm and enable a person to relax. I personally haven’t found anything or anyone that can compare. I go to sleep with her music every, single night. That’s how incredibly soothing she writes. Thank you Jaja for your hard work again. It sure shows your effort !
