Ektoplazm welcomes the return of American psytrance and ambient producer Mukti (Darren Harper) with Amida, a collection of five songs similar in style to the lo-fi darkpsy/forest vibe of his debut release, Magick Mother. In his own inimical way Mukti unites the atmospheric minimalism of deep droning ambient with driving psychedelic trance rhythms and hypnotic hooks. The unlikely fusion that results is equal parts raw and serene, inviting the listener into a state of contemplation and liminality. Mastered by Kri at Audio Valve with original photography and design by Basilisk.

It took me a long time to get to this Mukti, because I am afraid of the DARK! haha jk. I didn’t want to give feedback until I could give this a proper listen. I really like this release, it is very good shit indeed! Don’t take this wrong, but I didn’t really realize how good you really were man! I think I was always to effed up to pay proper attention. Love the R.A.W. quote btw! I hope I get the chance to see you play again… anything planned this year? Much love and keep doing what you’re doing brother!
