Great release! Good work! Extra kudos to the killer artwork.

  • plasmatic96 says:

Awesome! Especially 1st track, Theory of Chaos.

  • Uttara says:

    Nice Release, Nose!
    Congrats!

  • Nymphomania says:

Track 1 doesn’t sound like a finished song to me. It’s one bass sound with no actual bass frequencies mixed into a looping beat, for four minutes. Everytime the beat drops out, there’s an awkward ‘pop’ sound as it abruptly cuts mid-sample.

  • Nymphomania says:

I find it odd the way some Psychoz releases have audible glitches, weird extreme ‘pumping’ effects from messy compression, and a generally cluttered sound, while others like “Smaragwald” sound pristine.

I found a lot of this album to be pretty unlistenable, I can’t stand badly synced and time-crunched guitar samples. I like the idea of metal influenced psy, but it requires more subtlety than this I think. These tracks feel scatterbrained.

Big fan of some of Psychoz’ other work, though.

    2/5

Theory of Chaos! Wow what an amazing track, can´t stop listening it.

  • Dj Dêâthbêâm says:

These tracks have potential, but just aren’t doing it for me. If only you guys could revisit these songs, revise and refine them (a lot…). :/

  • thesalmonking says:

i like the ghetto ass 3 am slapped this together before mom gets up sound this has. But i understand why not everyones happy

  • Chucho says:

The sound is not as polished as it should be.

  • thesalmonking says:

Yea i listened to this again… not very pleasing to the ears haha

  • jeff says:

thesalmonking if you dont like it, dont listen to it
me and many other people like this release, so chill out

  • thesalmonking says:

    I understand jeff

  • thesalmonking says:

when I said the negative thing before about it being slap happy or w.e it wasn’t sarcasm. i like that kind of music sometimes. just didn’t sound as good the second time I listened to some of it.

  • lyedyanoy says:

f’ing awesome! Epic artwork! I don’t understand all the criticism, it’s all f’ing bullshit. If you want to criticize art and technical aspects of the work, go a fucking developers’ forum of some kind (if you can find it). But that said, I do see how the sound could be made deeper a bit, he-he. Otherwise, the tracks are pretty cool, the composition is outstanding. I liked the suspense feeling in some of the tracks. He-he… Lol! Fuc’in’ BULLSHIT!

  • thesalmonking says:

yea brother i know what you mean, music is pretty much in the ears of the beholder but i mean i guess if we don’t like the music we should be able to say so on these comments… but i did sound like an ass lol i was just trying to be funny idk. and its definitely better than anything i could ever make I’m not an artist.

i pretty much like that the music is free :)

  • PsYGnOsIs says:

I normally do not comment on releases i don’t like but I have to agree with pretty much Nymphomania posted in his/her ‘review’. Those guitar samples sound cheap and annoying to be honest !
Some parts sound real nice though, but those guitars just ‘break’ it, if you know what I mean :)
Sure.. not all tracks have guitars in them, but still , They sound kinda ‘flat’.. maybe the mastering ? I dunno .. some ‘psy-vibe’ is missing here .
Then again, some might like it , You know.. listening to music is VERY SUBJECTIVE !
After all.. It’s free music … so really , we cannot complain about it , do we ?!

  • Psychoz says:

Nymphomania track 1 is not realy a track is more sort of a intro
there isnt acctualy any bass, its 2 leads on verse and 1 pad on chorus
    cheers

  • Psychoz says:

“awkward ‘pop’ sound as it abruptly cuts mid-sample”
thats the filter from my andoremeda a6 and i left it in purpose so one can hear the sound more real
