Okay, now. We weren’t waiting for another commercial project like Enigma.
Simple, uninspired beats, simple, non-psychedelic sounds….
It is clear that the psychedelic scene is completely going to shit if this stuff and progressive is what the main dish is on festivals and at parties.

  • pyc says:

I can agree this is not psychedelic at all, it even sounds like pop in some moments. While this music is generally ok, it is not what we expect from Ektoplazm.

  • Claudio says:

Beautiful release, excellent interpretation of RomyHarmony!

  • Blue Phoenix says:

I thought Samsara was beautiful. Brilliant tune there. Sure, this is different than what you’d normally hear on Ektoplazm but keep an open mind.

  • whut says:

    whut pop?

  • Carma says:

in case u wouldn’t know, ektoplazm distributes “free and legal psytrance, techno, and downtempo music” – not only psychedelic. I dont see how this release doesnt fit into downtempo.
And its not the psychedelic scene thats going to shit – its us, people. like Blue Phoenix says, keep an open mind. I wouldn’t care if ektoplazm would start to disrtibute rock, or pop or any other type of music in case they are good songs.

Track 2 is really perfect, rest is highly enjoyable too. Keep up the great job!

  • PsYGnOsIs says:

I applaud ektoplazm for releasing this , It’s always good to go ‘beyond the norm’ so to speak ;)
Personally I didn’t like it that much .
Keep up the great work !!

  • Melomania says:

Finally some awesome downtempo, a rare thing on Ektopoasm. These tracks contain a rare jewel: MELODY!!!! Finally some melodies, instead of same overused automated synth effects on same chord for 8 minutes at a time over boring monotonous beat. Right on, do not be afraid to create.

“We weren’t waiting for another commercial project like Enigma…”

    Commercial project? WTF man?
    I loved Samsara.

  • Shaman Flux says:

I agree with Melomania. The psychedelic genre has become overpowered by noise-centered tracks that undermine the most beautiful and fundamental part of our musical understanding: melody and harmony. Also, even though this was definitely not what I expect to hear on ektoplazm, it was still beautiful. Thank you and keep the good tunes comin’!

  • shayan says:

this is not psychedelic ,this is pop or house chilli or … ! basilisk why upload in ektoplazm ?!

  • Elaisa says:

Maybe not psychedelic, but still great EP. Beautiful voice and melody.

Also Romy has made great collabs, so go and google.

  • Kat says:

From the home page: “Welcome to Ektoplazm, the world’s #1 source for free and legal psytrance, techno, and downtempo music in MP3, FLAC, and WAV format.” So why is it bad thing this release isn’t psychedelic?

Beatiful lyrics, voice and melodies. Great for relaxation.

    Some people prefer music.

    Some people prefer noise.

    Thankfully, Ektoplazm still releases music.

  • Method of Kolishin says:

I love this release, Romy has a fantastic voice, and the music is quite fitting for this site. I actually prefer this over many other releases on this site… quality vs quantity. But to each their own. p.s. not everything has to be psychedelic :P 5/5

    На Энигму похоже.

  • RomyHarmony says:

Thank you everyone for the feedback, I appreciate it!

  • Transdutor says:

One thing i miss so much: MELODY.

I search for melody in a lot of album and when i found it is great surprise for me!

    Thanks, RmyHarmony and Ektoplazm…
