Tanmaurk is the second full-length release from Zealotry Music, a Danish netlabel dedicated to homegrown downtempo and ambient music. Drifting from wobbly organic grooves to glitchy electro-acoustic soundscapes, this compilation meanders through a variety of psychedelic chill out moods. Tanmaurk takes its name from a runic inscription found on the one of the Jelling Stones, monuments erected at the behest of King Harald Bluetooth in the late 10th century to commemorate the Christianization of Denmark. These stones are widely regarded as the birth certificate of the Danish nation.

WHY? Why is it that the compilers of Ektoplazm’s catalog seems to ONLY carry the “EPIC TRANCE,” this driving two to four note rhythmic pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound? Then, their is a little flurry of psuedo-melody, then it is back to pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound-pound, has anyone ever heard of Robin Trower? Or, James Marshall Hendrix?

Can someone tell me where I can find some psychedelic sounds that are NOT ALL COMPUTER NERD generated, that musician’s have worked out, songs with words, with a beginning, middle, and an ending?

Look, appreciate what these people are trying to do it is their bag not mine, but to me it all sounds like the same thing with little variation…

If, you want to know what PsyRock sounds like go out and buy King Crimson, Robin Trower (Bridge of Sighs, OR Victims of the Fury) Anything Jimi Hendrix… That is what I am looking for…

This is like walking into a steakhouse and demanding a vegan feast! Do you realize Ektoplazm is a free music portal dedicated to psytrance, techno, and downtempo music? If you want music with guitars and lyrics you will need to look up a different site!
