so im on the internet and i came across 404 forbidden you flip updown and got the hoh rainforest with all the mosses and you the tattoo palor under the needle
Very nicely dark-ish electronic music. Make more, please!
Hey, “URL I’m VCL When you break it down”, I am moving by the Hoh in a few months!
One of the best albums this year.
I can’t seem to find anything else with Neto though :/
It’s very reminiscent of Deus Ex and Mass Effect PC games soundtrack. Really really great.
Hmm, dissenting opinion here. I was not impressed. Most of the tracks had no memorable melodic hooks or beats, and little sense of progression. Just boring plodding downbeats that go nowhere… I found myself checking the track timer… “how much longer is this?” The last few tracks were more interesting but it wasn’t enough to save the album as a whole.
Seeing as everyone else loved it, maybe I should listen again in a different mood or a different context. It wouldn’t be the first time I completely missed a layer of subtlety on a first listen. I do appreciate free music of course, and the cover art is nice also.
cool album, it will feed my car stereo
This is a lovely experience, “Navigation By Sonar Only” is absolutely incredible, but the whole thing is just amazing!
Good background music for Porno films.
Nothing more.
1/5
thanks for the feedback. ron jeremy and grahf actually honed in on one of the elements that i was shooting for. this music was intended to be background as much as foreground. some of it was actually built for MC’s and others were meant to be ambient repeat for chillspaces. these were the very first tracks i ever produced and it was all done in REASON from between 2005-2008. i was honoured to even release this album through ektoplazm and i never imagined that people would even listen to it. any feedback is great. music is far from my focus. if i complete 2 tracks a year i am lucky now. my focus is graphic design and visuals. this album spun out from a visual concept as much as from an audio one.
thanks everyone. this thread made my day. i had no idea it was here.
huhhh uhhhh isn’t it’s amazing how familiar it is to me, not suspiciously looking like one of the best Chilout classics there is “Bluetech – Sines and Singularities”, I mean really, guys, c’mon.
hey yo… i designed the bluetech cd. part if the deal was that it was done inexpensively and that i maintained rights to the imagery and ideas. just saying.
it totally is an honour to have my album reviewed by kilowatts though (presuming by the name Astral Accident which is a track by kilowatts). The similarity of artwork has a real purpose and reflects the huge respect I have for Evan, and that he was actually, 7 years ago now, very interested in the art that I made which was very water oriented. This album was based almost completely on water and the rest of the cover art reflects that. Because music is not my career, but a hobby I feel honoured to even have a release. The musical inspirations include Bluetech, Noah Pred, Adham Shaikh, Shakatura all of whom are friends of mine. Onbeyond Metamedia ( http://www.onbeyondmetamedia.com ) is the name of my graphic design company if you would like to see any more CD design and art I have done. You will find the Sines and Singularities CD art there, done for Aleph Zero. As a note, Evan and I look back fondly now on a process which was actually one of the more challenging of any design gig i have ever had. This version of aquatikon is much more what i wanted the album to be like. We laugh now at how serious we were taking everything, he as a perfectionist and me as a very sensitive budding artist.
Hello Neto, your album has been featured on our website about free music. You can see it here : http://bddmusicaldiscoveries.tumblr.com/post/17949399384/neto-aquatikon

posted a long time ago that was, but i figured id point that this album is best listened to in the morning i find, especially when you still transitioning from asleep/groggy to awake/waking up, and a kettle of tea works well. I find that the songs are fairly simple, yes, and they dont seem to go anywhere at first glance, but they capture the feel of a lazily floating current under water level, especially track number 7. I can easily see myself as a turtle or clown fish floating around in the australian undercurrents just hanging out in my own world, oblivious to the real world we all know.
and that right there, is what makes it such a good album. its simple and chill. isnt that why we are listening to a type of music called downtempo? to wind down and chill out and not be in a rush?
Fully enjoy 1/2/3/7/8
