Under The Moss Vol. 4 marks the return of the Forest Freaks, a Lithuanian psytrance collective already widely known from previous releases of their flagship compilation series. Once again we are reunited with the dark masters of the wooded realm, sonic alchemists capable of channelling eldritch energy and transforming reality through auditory manipulation. As before the focus is almost exclusively on homegrown Lithuanian sounds, but here you will also find a contribution from international guest Blisargon Demogorgon.

Freezings from the Fractarctica!

The sound got frozen up when the temperature dropped and vibration of molecules got slower. What we got from the process was three icy cool and frosty ambient tracks. An auditory experience well below zero.

The genesis of a snowflake, a crystal of water, where water is transforming in to a solid state of matter is a fantastic show of the beauty of nature and it’s complex but simple as possible geometric arrangements with microscopic building blocks to form masterpieces of the nature. In this release we can not just see it but hear it too.

Flembaz return to fundamentals with a blend of progressive and psychedelic techno resembling some of their early work. Barking Soda features two original tracks intending to build anticipation for the upcoming, as-yet untitled Flembaz album. They have been testing new gear and software so this release is a fresh experience while maintaining their classic techno-trance aesthetic. To round out the release there are also two reworks by Floating Machine and the Portuguese duo Code Therapy.

Sun Department is proud to present the debut release by Zis0ky, a hi-tech and darkpsy project by John-Michael Heck AKA Tranonica. It was created by an accident. After an amazing private outdoor party, John was fascinated by this music like never before. On a lonely evening at home he started his first track with 180 BPM called “Alone in the Universe”. After this he started with another one. He tried to play a little bit with the tempo and soon he created “Brain Trip”, a 190 BPM track with some vocal samples from television series. These 3 tracks will take you into the abyss of hi-tech and you won’t let go. Zis0ky will not stop working on more of these kind of music so keep your ears and eyes open!
