The idea of creating an ambient album while maintaining some of the more complex compositional elements from progressive rock became a challenge and a driving force behind Aura’s New Circuitry. Tracks like “Wholeness” and “Eris In The Dark” incorporate technical rhythm patterns while maintaining a smooth ambient edge. Hugely influenced by acts such as Shpongle, Ott, Argaman, Buckethead, Devin Townsend Project, and many more, New Circuitry is also a response to the very intense music of Schrodinger Kats, a progressive rock project from 2010. It has been said that talking about music is like dancing about architecture: the self-referential circle of language spins us around, marking the steps inward from one empty definition to the next. Only the visceral impact of a feeling beyond these words can fulfill the search for meaning within the motions of this dance. To honour this notion, Atman Construct selected these works without regard for the conventional categories of genre—ambient, IDM, psychedelic, glitch and so on—but simply because in combination they express a collective, emotive experience. Into This Wired Abyss provides gentle soundscapes, fluid craftsmanship, and organic, narrative performances. There is no person without a past, no person without their recollections. Everyone has his own personal place, whether it’s a desolate house in the village from childhood, the path you were wandering together with your first love, or the bank of the river where you contemplated the break of dawn. Each of us has our own place, story, and significant memories that we are connected to. Time and again, in our thoughts, memories of the past rush back to us as if it were yesterday—and all of a sudden you are still talking to people who are no longer in your life, maybe even no longer alive…

To honour the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight, Home World Music Group, in collaboration with Sentimony Records, have prepared a special release: a new psychedelic space ambient music collection entitled Absence Of Gravity.
