Originally released in 2013 on Merkaba Music, Caliope is the debut album from Amentia (Dan Sela & Eli Benjamin), an Israeli production duo working to craft auditory environments since 2003. The vibe is nice but I find the production lacking. there are a lot of digital bit crunching filters and overly grainy distortion plug-ins… not as lush or pleasant on the ears as you’d need for this style of composition.
Overall I didn’t really like it, it’s unengaging
