What’s become of new releases lately? Not seen any new works post 2k18…

  • NewYorker says:

    Awesome! Thank you.

  • Baz says:

NX, Basilisk is refraining from new releases lately to concentrate on the new Ektoplazm expierence (new website). At least that’s what he’s written a few months ago on the Facebook page. I hope he’s still going strong.

  • Dewed says:

    Track #10 is Amazing

  • NX says:

Oh, we miss u trippy djs and producers… enigmatic, mind bending audio scapes for when we need to party from outer space \@/

  • Nithin says:

Ektoplazm used to be the place for all the psymusic lovers. Why has this site died? No updates, No releases. Have we shifted to some other site? If so, where? If not, how can we get it restarted?

  • salai says:

@Nithin…..yes, it’s creepy…..this site is our flagship, what happened?

  • @Anyone wondering what has happened with Ektoplazm:

The owner of the website has other life focuses right now. They are definitely planning on updating the website, but keep in mind this entire project is basically a one-person show. It will take time to resurface, but it’s certainly not abandoned. If you are wanting updates, do yourself a favor and go back in time to download the albums you haven’t heard on the site. (There is a lot of music on here).

Follow Ektoplazm on Facebook; they publish more updated there than here.

  • Basilisk says:

I’m still working on things! I had to take time off from posting new content to focus on updating the design of the site and laying the groundwork for the future of the project… but it’s coming along! Follow Ektoplazm on Facebook or Patreon for updates :)

  • Just me says:

Hi, good to hear that you’re still going to reactivate – came here while pruning my RSS feeds and this was the last post, from 1.5 years ago.

Everyone’s not in FB, so I’ll just try to check via the feed..

  • Faramarz says:

Hi, I am Iranian, since 2012, I have been downloading many songs from your site. Thank you so much, I am your one of your greatest supporter, however, It’s a long time ago still I like your site and all you put them here at ektoplazm.com.

  • Punit Shetty says:

Wow.. the sound quality on this is insane. Sounds just pop out of my speakers into space. Kudos to whoever did the mastering on this.

  • Nk4 says:

    Friends, wheres now ectoplasm.com?

  • Hellebarde says:

    Still bearing with you here.
These are complicated times for all of us, so it’s understandable that working on this site wouldn’t remain just an auxiliary hobby.
It would be nice to see some update on what’s going to happen next on this site.
(Facebook is a dead horse to me, so to speak. I had already liked the Ektoplazm FB page, but I’m only on FB about twice a year.)

  • Allwynd says:

Since Flash Player was killed, web browsers and even Windows removed it entirely, I can’t even play the music from the website anymore.

  • kbrg says:

wrote that the “robats” need to “turn” – it’s useless, I don’t know what to do. : |

  • Arun says:

Why is the play option not available?
Now there is no option to listen to a song before downloading. Thats annoying and keeping me away from this website.
    Thanks

  • Dumbledalf says:

    @Arun,

That is because the play option relied on the Adobe Flash plugin and Adobe retired that plugin for security reasons and this website still hasn’t been updated to use HTML5 or something like that for music preview.

  • DeepestTempest says:

Do not let a great website like this fall through the cracks into obscurity. I spent most of my years this website in the late 2000s and early 2010s, looking for great music. There is so much history in Ektoplazm too.

  • dasich says:

I just discovered this website and wow.
I wish I had discovered it so much earlier.
Like DeepestTempest says, please do not let such a great website fall through the cracks into obscurity.

I know its hard fighting against things like spotify, bandcamp, youtube and whatnot.
Psyshop.com is an example to this. Granted, CDs have long been dead.

But there will always be a scene of guys like me who appreciate this content.

  • sP says:

    Awesome site :).

  • bang bang shout out says:

shout out my boy kai for putting me on this website in 2013 and also telling me to buy bitcoin hope u see this love.

no one takes good music for free? everyone listens to stupid guitar and pop music with nauseatingly sweet voices! it’s a horror where the whole mass of people is heading.

  • Einen Namen braucht man nur für die Musikindustrie says:

Why aren’t you creating torrents for every album? That saves a lot of money for this hoster and also makes it (most likely) easier to download all of the music on here at once. It’s made for free sharing, isn’t it?
Thank you for the music, the hosting, everything!

My personal protip: Music DVDs. You can fit more than 8 hours of music on one disc alone. Optics, woooohooo! Dead? More like “Dad”, LOL!
