One Mighty Atom is a live psychedelic funk band from (approximately) the very middle of Johannesburg, South Africa. Three musicians with a long history in the South African music scene (Jeff Fletcher, Michael Westwood and David Owen) got over it and got together to lay down big grooves and psychedelic sounds in a live band format. Mystery Karaoke is their debut release and showcases their unique sounds and particular brand of funk. A part time collaboration with Allie Krumm for vocals provides an occasional eclectic diversion as the sonic journey progresses. It’s weird, wobbly, and winsome. Mastered by Colin Bennun from Stooodio Mastering and the monkey in the picture is Miss Baker.
