After making his mark with Head Music in 2011, U.K. techno and psytrance artist Ellis Thomas returns to Glitchy.Tonic.Records with his debut album, Drippy Creatures. Building from eerie minimal grooves to driving progressive floor-burners, this album is a trip through rich psychedelic soundscapes with crunchy percussion, deep atmospheres, and dark bass lines. Tested in front of a live audience at Boom 2012! Mastered by Anti-Logic, Berlin. Artwork by Dr. Scorpio (Dave Short).

Dude WTF this is GOOOOOOODD!!! :DDDD <3
Just by its very nature, progressive psy requires patience and a keen ear for the producer’s taste in nuanced craftsmanship. The beauty of Ellis Thomas’ “Drippy Creatures” is that he does not test that patience too strongly. Thomas injects enough floor-ready energy into each production to keep things interesting and when he does start wandering down the dark, creative progressive paths, his vision provides plenty of surprises. At nine tracks long, it should be expected that at least two or three of the songs can be dismissed – someone forgot to inform Thomas, though, as each track is worthy of discussion. The only complaint is that some chords sound lifted from Sensient’s “Pressure Optimal” album – not too big of a complaint, however. Thomas’ fascinating canon of tracks here are “drippy” dark creatures of subtle, nuanced mind-candy, most of it from an original artistic vision. As with much in this specialized style of psytrance, strapping on a set of headphones and blocking out the world only enhances the experience. Where Thomas’ work will take you under these circumstances is limitless.

THX a lot, i’m so happy about this masterpiece……………
Brilliant!! Can’t help but move :)
Woa! Great quality soundz here!
Love it!
Trance MASTER Ellis Thomas!!!!!!! You are indeed a Master of of DarkPsy!!!!!!! #FanForLife!!!
Still one of the best albums I discovered here on Ekto !
Gonna practise some mixing with new 2ndhand apparature near the woods this month, peace, love, light, consciousness. SoLm is open for artist to join in on and publice music. From dance to rap.
