Olotropo Records presents Orun-Aiye, the debut release by Ôrumm (Ilarí Papá) from Brazil. Ilari has been producing trance music in various genres over the years. Currently he is developing progressive sounds as Reborn Soul and works in the forest realm as Igboogã. This particular release is inspired by Yoruba mythology. “Orun” is a word that defines the sky or the spirit world, parallel to “Aiye”, the physical world. Everything that exists in Orun co-exists in Aiye through the double existence Orun-Aiye. As such this first release is a ritualistic work inspired by black culture worldwide and materialized by mystical forces. An epigram:

i care more about the spirit behind the music, and if this are the sounds that makes Ilarí trip cool, than that’s it. its the tone he likes, and the one i want to listen cause it is done with sincerity.

the scratchy/harsh/murky production here does bug me a bit
there’s a sense that he throws in a massive ideas but maybe doesn’t hone each of them enough
